Dog Daycare

LK Farm Dog Daycare offers a low-volume, cage-free daycare experience designed for dogs who thrive in a calm, structured, and enrichment-focused environment.

Unlike high-capacity daycare facilities, we intentionally limit the number of dogs in our care each day. This allows us to focus on safety, compatibility, and individual wellbeing, while maintaining a relaxed atmosphere where dogs can truly decompress.

All daycare is overseen by an experienced veterinary technician, providing an added layer of professional observation for dogs who may require medication, monitoring, or extra support.

Our Daycare Approach

Our daycare model prioritizes quality of care over quantity of dogs. Dogs enjoy a balance of supervised social interaction, free time to explore and relax, and structured rest periods throughout the day.

This approach is ideal for dogs who:

  • Do not do well in loud, overstimulating daycare environments

  • Prefer smaller groups or selective socialization

  • Benefit from routine, enrichment, and calm handling

  • Are seniors, have special needs, or require medication during the day

Daycare is not continuous free-for-all play. Rest, rotation, and individualized management are key parts of our program.

Environment & Facilities

Daycare dogs have access to:

  • Spacious indoor areas for rest and enrichment

  • Designated outdoor play spaces within a farm setting

  • Natural sights, sounds, and scents for mental stimulation

Dogs are grouped thoughtfully based on size, temperament, and play style. Not all dogs are placed together, and some dogs may enjoy individual time rather than group play.

Supervision & Safety

Dogs are actively supervised during group play and activities. However, dogs are not under direct supervision at all times, such as during rest periods or overnight for boarding add-ons.

Owners acknowledge that daycare involves inherent risks, including the potential for minor injuries, illness, or stress, even with careful management.

Daycare may be modified or discontinued for any dog showing signs of excessive stress, illness, or unsafe behavior.

Crates & Rest Periods

Crates or kennels are available at the owner’s request or when a dog benefits from a quiet rest period. Rest time is considered an important part of a balanced daycare day.

Health & Behavior Requirements

To ensure the safety of all dogs:

  • Dogs must be current on required vaccinations

  • Dogs must be friendly with people and other dogs

  • Dogs must be comfortable in a group or structured daycare setting

A trial day may be required prior to regular daycare attendance.

Benefts of Dog Daycare

Dog daycare offers numerous benefits for both the dog and its owner, including socialization, exercise, and mental stimulation, as well as convenience for busy pet owners. It can also help with confidence building and reducing anxiety, particularly in dogs who may be shy or fearful.

Dogs who regularly visit daycare often are more comfortable when left for stays at boarding facilities.
